These Literature & History bundles for Grades 2–4 focus on the period from 1650-1800AD (Alveary Rotation 2) and immerses students in rich stories and ideas that spark the imagination. Choose bundles with U.S. or Canadian history lessons and learn through short lessons filled with story, references to atlases and maps, and History Chart work as students progress. Grade 4 also studies World History once a week. Literature lessons span Greek mythology through Nathaniel Hawthorne's A Wonder Book for Boys and Girls, John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress, accessible classics like Charlotte's Web, Norse and world folktales, and historical fiction which coordinates with the historical cycle. Grade 4 adds a gentle introduction to Shakespeare with the Beginner Track, covering A Midsummer Night's Dream.
