Perfect for students from 5-8 years old, this intro to music course has two streams of lessons each week which immerse children in music through famous and accessible pieces from the centuries, musical stories, and games. In Music Appreciation Students learn to identify specific orchestral instruments and begin to understand that music is a language that tells stories. Great music is paired with classic art to pique students' interest. Then in Musical Games, students enjoy fingerplays, rhymes, and games to develop musical and rhythmic awareness, and throughout students are encouraged to appreciate beauty and have fun with music. Teacher supports, links, and extra helpings all included.
