Intro to Music
Perfect for students from 5-8 years old, this intro to music course (2x week/36 weeks) immerses children in music through famous and accessible pieces from the centuries, musical stories, and games. Students learn to identify specific orchestral instruments and begin to understand that music is a language that tells stories. Great music is paired with classic art to pique students' interest, fingerplays, rhymes, and games help students develop musical and rhythmic awareness, and throughout students are encouraged to appreciate beauty and have fun with music. Teacher supports, links, and extra helpings all included.
