Geography

$ 59.00 USD
Following Miss Mason’s principles on Geography, students explore weather and climate, flora and fauna, historical events, industries, and geology through reading, mapwork and models. With narrative and hands-on activities, students begin the study of their world, from its place in the solar system to their place in its lands. Then students apply their core geographical concepts through mapwork and models–taking a broad look at North America and how other children around the world live, delving into human and physical geography, and continuing to deepen their understanding of world regions and their own states or provinces. See descriptions of lesson plan bundles below. *These Geography lessons are included in an Alveary 25/26 membership and the historical geography for Grades 4+ is connected to Rotation 2 (1650-1800AD).
The multi-authored Charlotte Mason Centenary Monograph series is designed to highlight and explore the continuing educational and leadership relevance of Charlotte Mason (1842–1923) through the collective contributions of the Armitt Museum and Library, the University of Cumbria, the Charlotte Mason Institute, and other scholars and practitioners worldwide.
