Welcome to the 2026-27 School Year!

From the Alveary Team

We are officially in our 2026-27 school year with lesson plans now live and all of the excitement that comes with it. Planning out a new school year can be an exciting task, but it may also feel overwhelming, especially if this is your first year using a new curriculum. We get it, and we are here to help you out as much as possible as you navigate through planning the upcoming school year.

We want to make sure you know all of the resources and ways that you can find support from the Alveary team. Having a community to help you along the way makes all the difference, so check out the ways you can get involved, find answers, and learn from other Alveary members below:

Foundations: We offer two incredible Foundations courses that are included in an Alveary membership and are located in the “Getting Started” section of your Dashboard. They are “Relational Ideas” and “Relational Methods”. They are a wonderful way to kick off your planning, especially if you are new to Charlotte Mason. Be sure to check them out.

The Hive: The Alveary Hive is a great way to connect with other Alveary members to ask questions and learn from one another. If you are new to Alveary, we encourage you to ask questions in the “Home” space so that experienced members can provide answers. We have many different circles in the Hive to help you connect with others with similar interests or find Alveary members in your area. Be sure to check out #HiveHelp for tips!

New Member Office Hours: We hold New Member Office Hours twice a month on Mondays. This is a casual time to meet with members of the Alveary team to ask any questions you have as you are planning your year. You can check out all of our upcoming events and RSVP here

Contact Us: Please feel free to contact us through our contact form with any questions you may have related to Alveary. We will do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible. This is a great place to ask questions about the curriculum or for questions that you can’t find answers to in the Hive. We are always happy to help!

Reflective Practice Plan: Starting a new school year requires intentional planning, and that is just what our Reflective Practice Plan is all about. Do not skip this step as you start planning for next year. It is so beneficial to reflect on the year and move forward with a clearer perspective. We even have a “Reflect Together” circle in the Hive! You can find the Reflective Practice Plan book in the “Getting Started” section of your Dashboard.

Alveary Mom Videos: If you like getting tips from other Alveary members, check out these videos on our YouTube channel where a group of Alveary moms share some amazing and useful tips for planning and getting started with Alveary.

We are always here to help you out in any way we can. Feel free Contact us with any questions you have, reach out on Instagram, or post your question in the Hive. We hope your planning is going well and that these resources will help you along the way!

Spotlight: The Bookshelf has also been updated for History Rotation 3, making it a great place to discover additional titles.

Notes:

  • 2025-26: As a reminder, all 2025–26 memberships will end on June 30. To maintain uninterrupted access to all resources, please plan to renew before that date. If you will not finish your lessons by June 30, you may download your lesson plans before your membership expires. Any downloaded lesson plan links will remain active.
  • Office Hours: Here is a link to the recording of our Lesson Plan Launch party. Thank you to everyone who joined and congrats to all of the winners!
  • Modern Languages: Lower level Spanish and French lesson plans will be available early next week.
  • Grade 1-2 Natural History: Our 26-27 lesson plans feature our new living nature readers for grades 1-2. If you prefer to continue using your CLNR, be sure to download your 25-26 lesson plans!
  • High School Biology: The 2026-27 high school biology plans use the 2nd edition of Novare Biology, but the 1st edition will still work well. Content changes are minimal, though chapters are organized differently. If you're using the 1st edition, be sure to save your 2025-26 lesson plans for chapter alignment. Lab books are compatible with both editions.
  • Printing: Preorders open today through our new print partner, Humble Heart Press, with shipping beginning June 15. You can now order lesson plans, Our Work, and Art Print Sets in one place. Choose from loose-leaf, three-ring punched lesson plans with included subject tabs for maximum flexibility, or three durable tape-bound books for a beautiful, ready-to-use option.
  • Alveary+: As you begin thinking about next year, we want to remind you to archive courses once they are completed. Keeping old courses archived will make it much easier to manage and organize the new courses coming from the portal starting in June.
  • Mother Culture Booklist: Looking for a summer read? Explore the new In the Company of Ideas book list, now included in the updated Reflective Practice Plan Book.
  • 2026 CMI Conference: We hope to see you this summer at Faithfully Present.  There will be so much to take in at the conference. Be sure to check out the different “Tracks” to help sort through it all and find sessions that most interest you. Register today!
  • Friends & Fellow Labourers: Nurturing the Early Years at Home: Before Age Six Saturday 13 June 2026 | 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm Join CMI staff members and homeschooling mothers Sarah Stabenow and Kimberly Somarriba for a conversation about applying Charlotte Mason’s principles before formal lessons begin. Learn more here.
  • CM Resource Hub: CMI is excited to partner with Redeemer University to create a Charlotte Mason Resource Hub in the Peter Turkstra Library. The collection will include scholarly works, rare resources, and many books featured in Alveary lesson plans, giving visitors the opportunity to check out physical Alveary books directly from the library.

Have a wonderful weekend!
