Summer
From Desiree Salcido, Support Specialist
Summer is in full swing, and I hope you're finding moments to soak it in.
One of my favorite things about this season is spending time outdoors. There’s something truly refreshing about getting outside—whether it’s enjoying a quiet morning walk, reading under the shade of a tree, or simply soaking up the sun. I often find that fresh air and a change of scenery help clear my mind and spark new ideas. Those peaceful moments—especially early in the day—are something I look forward to each year and always leave me feeling recharged and inspired.

Summer tends to fill up quickly with plans, travel, and activities. But amid the busyness, it’s important to take time for yourself. Refueling looks different for everyone—maybe it’s picking up a new hobby, diving into a good book, or going on a solo adventure. Whatever helps you reset and feel renewed, I hope you find time to do it before the new school year begins.
We’d love to hear how you're spending your summer! What moments have brought you joy? Share them over in the Hive.

Mason Quote:
“Our real concern is that children should have a good and regular supply of mind-stuff to think upon; that they should have large converse with books as well as with things; that they should become intimate with great men through the books and works of art they have left us, the best part of themselves. Thought breeds thought; children familiar with great thoughts take as naturally to thinking for themselves as the well-nourished body takes to growing; and we must bear in mind that growth, physical, intellectual, moral, spiritual, is the sole end of education” (The Story of Charlotte Mason, p. 231).
