Alveary Support
From the Alveary Team:
We are officially in our 2025-26 school year with lesson plans now live and all of the excitement that comes with it. Planning out a new school year can be a daunting task, especially if this is your first year using a new curriculum. We get it, and we are here to help you out as much as possible as you navigate through planning the upcoming school year.

We want to make sure you know all of the resources and ways that you can find support from the Alveary team. Having a community to help you along the way makes all the difference, so check out the ways you can get involved, find answers, and learn from other Alveary members below:
Foundations: We offer two incredible Foundations courses that are included in an Alveary membership and are located in the “Getting Started” section of your Dashboard. They are “Relational Ideas” and “Relational Methods”. They are a wonderful way to kick off your planning, especially if you are new to Charlotte Mason. Be sure to check them out.
The Hive: The Alveary Hive is a great way to connect with other Alveary members to ask questions and learn from one another. If you are new to Alveary, we encourage you to ask questions in the “Home” space so that experienced members can provide answers. We have many different circles in the Hive to help you connect with others with similar interests or find Alveary members in your area. Be sure to check out #HiveHelp for tips!
Office Hours: We hold Office Hours twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays. Office Hours are a great way to learn and hear from the Alveary team on a variety of topics. We are always open to more ideas of what you would like to hear, so be sure to comment on these events with questions and suggestions for future events! You can check out all of our upcoming events here.
Contact Us: Please feel free to contact us through our contact form with any questions you may have related to Alveary. We will do our best to get back to you as quickly as possible. This is a great place to ask questions about the curriculum or for questions that you can’t find answers to in the Hive. We are always happy to help!
Reflective Practice Plan: Starting a new school year requires intentional planning, and that is just what our Reflective Practice Plan is all about. Do not skip this step as you start planning for next year. It is so beneficial to reflect on the year and move forward with a clearer perspective. We even have a “Reflect Together” circle in the Hive! You can find the Reflective Practice Plan book in the “Getting Started” section of your Dashboard.
Alveary Mom Videos: If you like getting tips from other Alveary members, check out these videos on our YouTube channel where a group of Alveary moms share some amazing and useful tips for planning and getting started with Alveary.
We are always here to help you out in any way we can. Feel free to submit a question by email to Contact Us, reach out on Instagram, or post your question in the Hive. We hope your planning is going well and that these resources will help you along the way!
Notes:
- Student Curriculum Survey: We started a research project in the fall to explore the benefits of a relational education and are excited to continue it with a spring survey! Please have your Alveary students aged 10 and up complete the Student Survey (then there are a few questions at the end for you). *If you completed the survey in the fall, it would be very helpful if you completed it again this spring.* This enables us to compare fall responses to those this spring. If this is your first time taking the survey, please know that your information is also very helpful! As a thank you, we’ll be giving away three $25 Amazon gift cards to randomly selected winners to help you buy books and supplies for next year! Deadline: May 31st.
- Option 1: Take Student Survey Online
- Option 2: Download Student Survey (ideal for teachers!)
- Upload Link for PDF Survey
- Planning Guide: FYI for our new members: The Alveary Planning Guide on your dashboard offers steps & helps to help set up your school year.
- Syllabird Lesson Plans: If you're an Alveary+ member renewing from last year and don't see the new courses, please reach out to Contact Us!
- Syllabird Update: Assignment tabs now only appear if they contain content, no more clicking to check! For example, if you see a “Teacher’s Notes” tab, there’s something there for you.
- 2024-25 Members: All 2024–25 lesson plans will be removed from the website on June 30. Be sure to download or import them into Syllabird before then! Also, renew your membership by June 30 to stay in the Hive.
- Student Art Show & Tell! We know your students have been creating beautiful, original artwork this year, and we want to see it! Learn more and submit their artwork.
- Q&A Office Hours: Here is a link to the recording of this week’s Q&A Office Hours.
- Come Plan With Us! Join a few friendly CMI team members on Zoom for a relaxed, no-agenda planning session! Whether you're just starting or fine-tuning, pop in with your questions and get the support you need.
- Summer Reading List: Join us for some intentional reading this summer. This summer reading list is a curated list of titles from our high school book list to encourage you as an educator and lifelong learner! Enjoy!
- Conference Volunteers:We’re thrilled to welcome many of you to this summer’s CMI Gathering, Guiding with Grace. We’re looking for volunteers: a photographer, pianist, and CM grads or young adults for a teen panel. If you or someone you know can help, please email kimberly@cminst.org.

Mason Quote:
“Education is a discipline—that is, the discipline of the good habits in which the child is trained. Education is a life, nourished upon ideas; and education is an atmosphere—that is, the child breathes the atmosphere emanating from his parents; that of the ideas which rule their own lives” (Vol. 2, p. 247).
